| Judy's legendary zebra sequined
gown designed by Ray Aghayan, executed by Bob Mackie and made at Elizabeth
Courtney Costumes, has always been one of my favorite gowns from THE JUDY
GARLAND SHOW. So when it came into my possession it was very thrilling.
The gown is made of ivory
crepe encrusted with Jet sequins and bugle beads. It has a 19 1/2"
inch waist with stays and a weighted hem.
Along with the "Music from
the Movies" concert gown and the "poppy
gown" it is one of the most recognizable costumes from the
series. Originally sold at Sid Luft's infamous 1978 auction, it has
not been on public display in 20 years.
