Notes
|
Initial taping of show 26
on Friday, March 13, was a very difficult experience for Judy. As
can be imagined, she was grievous in the fact that this was her last show.
Many of the numbers taped that night were assembled from different takes
of the same songs. Taping lasted until 6:00 am on March 14th. |
| A |
By Myself was taken from
show #25 and inserted here. |
| B |
Just in Time, A Foggy Day,
If Love Were All, Just You, Just Me and When the Sun Comes Out were all
taken from show 22 in order to fill out the hour. |
|
On March 26, Judy attempted
again to tape enough material for the final show. She had planned
on taping a live version of "Born in a Trunk" from A Star is Born. Again,
Judy was in a very emotional state which overflowed into her performance
on this night as well. The material taped was decided to be 'unusable'
due to the 'start and stop' problems during the taping. Taping
on this night was 'finished' when a light man made a comment to Judy, which
infuriated her, causing an exchange between the two, resulting in her to
walking off the set leaving her "Born in a Trunk" incomplete.
This raw material has survived
the years and has been long collected by fans. It is hoped that all
the existing material will be provided in the upcoming Pioneer release
of this episode. |
