Notes
Judy agreed to do this CBS talent hunt show so that she could reveal to America her 'show biz find.'  While she was traveling in Australia and the Far East in 1964, Judy met a singing duo named The Allen Brothers.  They  traveled with Judy during her '65 tour as her opening act.  Judy quickly named Peter Allen as a possible new beau for her daughter, Liza.  Liza and Peter would eventually marry in 1967.

John Fricke writes in "Worlds Greatest Entertainer"  that "producer Irving Mansfield said that he received twenty-seven thousand requests for tickets" to the taping of this show.  The studio had seats to accommodate only eleven hundred, which means that the audience was very much on Garland's side.

This marks Judy's first American television appearance since her series went off the air in early 1964.  When Judy starts her performance, she seems very stiff - as if she's afraid to even move her head it seems, but when she starts to move, the audience reacts to every nuance of her performance which looks like helps her greatly.  Also, her voice seems to warm up a little more with each song as the show continues and by the time she gets to "Rockabye" and the end of her performance, you are truly wanting more.
