| How
can one do something like this without first thanking John Fricke?
John is probably the most highly regarded scholar on the topic of Judy
Garland living today. Most of the data prior to 1950 (and quite a bit after
1950!) on the Judy Garland Timelines were provided in bits and pieces from
various things that he's researched and later written about. Thank you
John for helping make Judy more 'available' to the masses! Judy would have
LOVED you for what you've done for her memory! Now we have a personal remembrance
of the Arie
Crown performance in 1965. |
|
| Special mention to Charles
Triplett. He has provided more information and images to this
website in the last few months that it's gained in it's entire existance.
He's been a true blessing as far as the website is concerned - and a great
friend. |
|
| Added the article, "I Was
There" by Beverly Linet to the Palace
51 page, submitted to this site by Sean
Orlosky. |
|
| Added several photos courtesy
of Nancy Barr Brandon. |
|
Carol Hays - sent
us a treasure trove of things to put on the site, as of now, you can see
the theater bill for Judy at the Curran
Theatre from May 26, 1952. Also added is the reviews of the
Blue
Grass Festival 53 - remarkable stuff! |
|
| Paul Brownstein -
for enlightening me to the correct networks for a couple of shows!
Thanks Paul! |
|
| Laura
Pilot - for the date of Judy's appearance at the 1958 Minnesota Centennial
Celebration. If anyone has any other information regarding this event,
please contact either myself or Laura. Thanks! |
|
| Sam
- for sending in the date for the 1961 Chicago concert. Bless you Sam! |
|
| Paul
Chopak - for sharing his memories of the taping of "Judy
and Her Guests" in 1963. Paul died in 1999. |
|
| Eric
Jacobs - BRAVO! He's in the process of sharing his private collection
of Judy graphics for this site - they include many never before seen (by
myself) pictures of Judy in concert, on TV among others. Bless you Eric! |
|
| Chris
Ward - Chris runs the beautiful 'Judy
in London' website. Chris has given me several wonderful pictures to
use on this site, as well as being one of my best and most supportive 'cyber'
friends. Hell, forget cyber, he's just a great friend that happens to live
a half a world away from me. ;) Thank you Chris! |
|
| Krista
Pugsley - The Internet Goddess of Garland, has sent a great picture
of Judy in Vegas - 1957 for use on this site. |
|
| Special
thanks to Jill Santoriello and Rod Lange who put 'heart, sweat and love'
into compiling the reviews from the 1961 cross-country concert tour. We
salute their tremendous effort in collecting and publishing this material
and feel confident that these eyewitness accounts of Judy's artistry secure
her position as the World's Greatest Entertainer. Special thanks also to
Randy
Wilson for providing these notices for use on this web site so that
anyone else interested in Judy may view them, including an entire new generation
of fans that are
just finding out what talent really is! |
|
| Jim
Johnson: For his permission to link to his Judy Garland Database, along
with some timeline information that he allowed me to 'borrow' for my Judy
Garland Timeline page. The man is without a doubt the 'WWW God' as far
as Judy is concerned and besides that, he's a nice guy and a great friend. |
|
| Wayne
Lawless: He has provided several previously unpublished Judy photo's
to be added to the site. |
|
| Howard
Fink: He sent a lovely note describing what he saw at the Forest Hill
concert on July 17, 1965 and permitted me to publish that note on this
website. |
|
| Tony
Landini: He is truly a remarkable man in our circle of Judy Friends!
Having seen Judy in concert somewhere around 35 times - having met her
as well as being the owner of one pair of the original ruby slippers! He
has agreed to allow me to archive his stories of seeing Judy live here
on this site. |
|
| Thanks to Mike Campbell
for pointing out an obvious mistake in the 1965 Concert Information - regarding
San Juan, PR and San Juan, CA! |
